Meet Adam Robertson, Registered Osteopath

I’ve been an Osteopath for almost 10 years, helping people across Cornwall to move with confidence, reduce pain, and stay active in later life. Alongside my private practice, I also spent 3 years working in the NHS, where I worked closely with physiotherapists and doctors supporting patients through rehabilitation and recovery. This gave me a unique perspective on how to combine hands-on treatment with exercise and simple strategies that work in day-to-day life.

Professional background

I graduated from the Surrey Institute of Osteopathic Medicine after 4 years of intensive manual therapy training, and I’m registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC). In addition to osteopathy, I’m a qualified clinical Pilates instructor and personal trainer, with years of experience leading back rehabilitation classes in the NHS.

I’m also the author of “17 Low Back Solutions”, a practical guide written especially for older adults who want to better understand and manage back pain.

How I work

I believe in combining traditional osteopathic hands-on treatment with modern rehabilitation. My approach is simple:

  • Listen carefully – understanding your story and what matters most to you.
  • Assess thoroughly – posture, movement, and gentle tests to find the root cause.
  • Explain clearly – in plain English, so you always know what’s going on.
  • Treat individually – easing stiff joints, reducing muscle tension, and guiding safe movement.
  • Support long-term – simple home strategies and exercises to keep you moving well.

Where you’ll find me

I split my time between our two clinics:

  • Par Clinic – available during the week
  • Liskeard Clinic (Saturday only) – ideal if you need a weekend appointment
