It comes down to the experience and skill-set of the therapist. Both physio’s and sports therapists work similarly, for instance, they both prescribe a lot of exercises.
Being able to assess the quality and quantity of movement is what makes the difference between a terrible and and an amazing movement specialist (physio + sports therapist)
Frankly a lot of sports therapists don’t have an “eye for movement”, its a hard skill to learn. But please dont believe the myth that all physiotherapists are exercise gurus. Many physios have only had one module on rehab exercise at university. In summary, I cannot tell you what type of movement specialist you should see.
